Hot Start to September Across Kentucky and the Ohio Valley

Heat and humidity will build across the region through midweek, with highs reaching the lower to middle 90s across Central and Eastern Kentucky and the upper 90s in Southwestern Ohio. Heat index values could approach 100 degrees in some locations, particularly Tuesday through Thursday. Mostly sunny and dry conditions will prevail through Wednesday before scattered showers and thunderstorms return to Eastern Kentucky on Thursday and become possible across all three regions by Friday.
